One Body In Christ

“For we are members of his body” (Eph 5:30 KJV)

The Coombs household has been full of bright colors and artistic expression. My stairway mural will shortlyiStock 000007373879XSmall be complete. It has only taken a couple of weeks to paint but the theme thereof has been ruminating in my heart for a very long time. As we hear the trumpets blowing and are beholding the birth pains of the Kingdom here on earth, my very soul is crying out in anticipation to behold a new thing, (Isaiah 42:9, 48:6, 65:17 and Jeremiah 31:22). The earth is beginning to shake and His bones are about to come together. Praise the Lord!

Our family’s new stairway mural is a prophetic illustration of what is about to come upon the earth. It consists of a massive man of light coming out of the earth. Nothing in this painting is in its’ regular form; for instance, the man is a cross between a man and an olive tree with his roots in the earth. The earth is not as we know it now, it is without the sea (nations) and is brimming with flowers of all shapes and sizes. There is so much vegetation that some of its vines creep across a few of the stairs. It’s placed on a stark black background to pronounce the glory and sheer beauty that is about to explode in the face of his manifested sons of light. At the top of the stairs and in the hallway the blackness continues with little shots of light, stars that have three verse references.

The first is (Isaiah 52:1-2 NIV), “Awake, awake, Zion, clothe yourself with strength! Put on your garments of splendor, Jerusalem, the holy city. The uncircumcised and defiled will not enter you again. Shake off your dust; rise up, sit enthroned, Jerusalem. Free yourself from the chains on your neck, Daughter Zion, now a captive. For this is what the Lord says: “You were sold for nothing, and without money you will be redeemed.” Daughter Zion is a reference to the heavenly Jerusalem, not physical, that is coming out of heaven, (i.e. Rev. 3:12). The second verse displayed is (Ezekiel 37:4 NIV), “Then he said to me, “Prophesy to these bones and say to them, ‘Dry bones, hear the word of the Lord! This is what the Sovereign Lord says to these bones: I will make breath enter you, and you will come to life.  I will attach tendons to you and make flesh come upon you and cover you with skin; I will put breath in you, and you will come to life. Then you will know that I am the Lord.’” In this section of Ezekiel, it is talking about the resurrection power, not just physically for an individual but spiritually collectively as his body. The third and final verse is (Colossians 1:27 KJV), and it simply states: “ whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:”
This is not just a pretty picture; Christ is calling his church (bride) to first come together bone to his bone. His voice has gone out in the highways and bi-ways we have been bidden to the marriage supper of the lamb. let us not nurse our flesh and turn back to our earthly existence. Our calling is Now!

(Matthew 25:1-13 KJV) Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom. And five of them were wise, and five were foolish. They that were foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them:  But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps.  While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept. And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him. Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps. And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out. But the wise answered, saying, Not so; lest there be not enough for us and you: but go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves. And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut. Afterward came also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us. But he answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not.  Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh.

The Bible says we will not know the day nor the hour. However, God’s word also shows us we can and must interpret the times and seasons and act accordingly. (Luke 12:54-56) God’s purpose is to bring forth a body through which he can manifest His Headship. We are that body! Now is the time to come together in Christ. I would like to leave you with the verses.

Joel 2:1-11 KJV  Blow ye the trumpet in Zion, and sound an alarm in my holy mountain: let all the inhabitants of the land tremble: for the day of the LORD cometh, for it is nigh at hand;
A day of darkness and of gloominess, a day of clouds and of thick darkness, as the morning spread upon the mountains: a great people and a strong; there hath not been ever the like, neither shall be any more after it, even to the years of many generations.
A fire devoureth before them; and behind them a flame burneth: the land is as the garden of Eden before them, and behind them a desolate wilderness; yea, and nothing shall escape them.
The appearance of them is as the appearance of horses; and as horsemen, so shall they run.
Like the noise of chariots on the tops of mountains shall they leap, like the noise of a flame of fire that devoureth the stubble, as a strong people set in battle array.
Before their face the people shall be much pained: all faces shall gather blackness.
They shall run like mighty men; they shall climb the wall like men of war; and they shall march every one on his ways, and they shall not break their ranks:
Neither shall one thrust another; they shall walk every one in his path: and when they fall upon the sword, they shall not be wounded.
They shall run to and fro in the city; they shall run upon the wall, they shall climb up upon the houses; they shall enter in at the windows like a thief.
The earth shall quake before them; the heavens shall tremble: the sun and the moon shall be dark, and the stars shall withdraw their shining:
And the LORD shall utter his voice before his army: for his camp is very great: for he is strong that executeth his word: for the day of the LORD is great and very terrible; and who can abide it?

Bless the Lord all you nations and let the King come into His holy temple. May the Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit.
